Biography

Henri Hurtig – otherwise known as Cid Inc – celebrated the end of last year with well deserved recognition for his production skills by being named by Beatport as one of their Progressive House Artists of 2009. It further cemented his reputation as a DJ, producer and label manager destined to make his mark on the global electronic dance scene.
Born in Finland, raised in Sweden and now based back in Oulu in Finland, Henri began making music in the early 90s and soon settled on house as the outlet for his creativity. Now with over a decade of experience behind him as a professional sound engineer, he is well known for his technical ability but that tells only half the story; his musical talent has also flourished with recent productions receiving widespread support from DJs and clubbers alike. Fusing progressive and tech house with elements from other styles, the Cid Inc sound is a thoroughly modern and exciting interpretation of the house blueprint.
Henri first came to prominence when he teamed up with Mathias Bradler to create Mashtronic in 2004 and their productions and hectic DJ schedule soon brought them to a global audience. As well as playing all over Europe and trips to South America, Australia and New Zealand, Mashtronic signed their productions to many of the best labels around including Bedrock and Global Underground. There have been numerous compilation appearances along with a strong remix portfolio; John Digweed, Pole Folder, Mason and D-Nox & Beckers were among those given a reworking in the duo’s forward thinking progressive style. Their own Mashtronic and Restart labels also released an impressive selection of material from artists like Nick Muir and Pole Folder.
With such strong credentials behind him, Henri’s career as a solo artist under the name Cid Inc hit the ground running (the name is a cheeky reference to his early years spent raving to acid house.) Starting with the ‘Sister’ EP on Dyami in 2008, Henri has put together an impressive body of work including releases on Inkfish and Tribal Vision, and remixes for labels like Mango Alley and microCastle. His remix of Facundo Mohrr’s ‘Wooster St’, in particular, came in for much critical acclaim for its marriage of progressive and tech house. The word prolific hardly does it justice with nearly 30 Cid Inc original productions and remixes released in 2009.
Last October saw Henri launch his own Replug imprint with the main goal of releasing his own tracks and collaborations with good friends on the dance scene. The first two EPs from Henri himself, ‘Defrost’ and ‘Cloudberries’, have already done well and put the label on the map. There are also two monthly Cid Inc radio shows, ‘Deplug’ on Proton Radio and ‘Zeitgeist’ on Danceradio Global in Greece. It’s hardly surprising, therefore, that Beatport selected Henri as one of their Progressive House Artists of 2009 alongside other great names like Charlie May, Guy J and Pole Folder. In 2008 he was also voted the fifth Most Popular Nordic DJ.

Roman Gertz is a vivid representative of new generation Ukrainian producers and deejays. Just for 3 years of activity in electronic music, he became a core member of Ukrainian techno scene and perspective global newcomer.
Roman’s career began his meteoric rise after winning the DJ Contest held by Global Gathering in 2008. The next leap started with producing fresh-sounding techno music. The result of music creativity was quickly noticed and young talent gained prestigious TOPDJ award "Best Release" 2008/2009, numerous gigs and loving fans.
Started making strong tracks and remixes, Roman Gertz quickly became in-demand producer with successful releases on Respekt Recordings, 1605, Italo Business, Frequenza Records, Binary404.com, Sound Of Acapulco and more.
His production hits Beatport sales charts and attracts the interest of world's most important artists, such as Umek, Slam, Len Faki, Richie Hawtin, Spektre, Tomcraft, Mark Knight, Mario Piu, John Acquaviva, Tocadisco and many others.
In January 2011 three (!!!) Roman’s tracks appeared at Beatport’s TOP100 Techno Sales Chart at the same time, get reviewed and featured at genre page and appeared at Must Hear Techno Tracks of the week!
Roman Gertz is also known for his breathtaking live performances. His energy delivery and non-verbal connection with every dancefloor let him play at the best venues and festivals.
Roman also hosts his radioshow at best Ukrainian radiostation Kiss FM.
